MCB

Music Cataloging Bulletin, available online to subscription holders. Provided by the Library of Congress.

The MCB is the form of communication between music catalogers and the Library of Congress, in which the LC provides up-to-date information regarding their pracitc for music cataloging. This bulletin is more frequent than the general LC publications, and reports internal decisions that would otherwise not be published.

Catalogers can also use the MCB to discuss issues and find answers quickly and easily. Also, as the direct form of communication with LC, music catalogers can make complaints, ask questions, or make suggestions of LC.

Internship notes:

Same old, same old. I have really gotten into the swing of things, and I am able to work more independently now, practicing what I have learned so far. I just keep trucking along…
