What Even Is Librarianship, and Why Do You Think You Know?

Always disappointed when I find librarians who are 100% ignorant of how bibliographic description works and has evolved over time. I mean, get to know your field, forchrisake. I took the time to learn and practice collection development, reference, instruction, circulation, administration, etc. But maybe I care too much about librarianship when no one else does.

So, in an effort to preserve the dying art of librarianship in posterity, I will embark on a series of posts that describe as much of it as I can with a great amount of breadth and depth. Maybe it will be of interest to others, maybe it will simply soothe my soul.

All posts in the series will have the category and tag “Librarianship101” and use my logo icon as the featured image.
