I got new glasses last week. I have never had glasses before. Seems I have been spending too much time in front of the computer. hmmmm…
Dr. J-B has asked me to contact the percussion professor here about having his ensemble perform at the opening gala for the exhibit. So, I got to write an e-mail for her approval to send along. I wrote a good one, I thought. It was well worded, and seemed very professional. I made sure to note my affiliation with the project and contact info for Dr. J-B.
I spent the weekend in Milwaukee at the Music Library Association Midwest Meeting. That meant I missed a meeting of the exhibit committee. Upon my return, I e-mailed Dr. J-B to find out what I missed, and ask about sending that e-mail. To my dismay, I was prohibited from sending the e-mail, as I was merely a graduate student, and we were dealing with a PROFESSSORRR.
PARDONE MOI.
So, next year when I write that e-mail to a professor in my department in my real job, will I be thought of as good enough? Or will I just be considered merely the LIBRAAAARRRIANNN…..
